Hello AI Enthusiast,
This is a short version of a longer article. Read the full breakdown at LINK.
The tab-switching habit
You open ChatGPT or Claude, ask your question, get your answer, then copy it into the document you're actually working on. That's how most people use AI today. It works, but there's a more efficient way.
What's already sitting in your apps
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and their Google equivalents all have AI built in now, or an add-in away. It lives in a sidebar next to your document, sees what you have open, and edits it right there. No copying. No switching windows.
Here's why that's worth knowing. When AI is one click away in the app you're already in, you start using it for the small stuff too. The quick rewrite. The one formula. The tasks too minor to justify opening a new tab. That's how a tool turns into a habit.
One example worth trying
In PowerPoint, you can say "add a slide with the Q3 results after the market overview" and it happens. No rebuilding the deck by hand.
What we save for the full post
We walk through what to actually use AI for in each app, compare the four main tools (Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) so you know which fits your setup, and share what separates teams who genuinely save time from teams who just have access and never use it.
